Michael Lester Ryder

Michael Lester Ryder died Feb. 14, 2021. He was born in Denver, Colo. in 1948. Michael lived in Buffalo Creek, Colo. He was an artist, handy man, and a loving husband.

He earned his BA in 1973 from Metropolitan State College. He spent many years in New Mexico and Arizona, on the Navaho Nation with the Morgan family and the Greene family. He became a silversmith under their tutelage.

He was an avid fisherman, and loved to hunt. He also loved riding his Harley whenever the weather allowed.

He married the love of his life, Debra, in 1984.

He is survived by his wife Debra; his sister Cindy (Howard); his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Betty; his brother-in-law Jim; his brother-in-law Tom; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephew. Also, so many dear friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Loneta and Merritt Ryder; his second parents, Annie and Dwayne Hulvey; and sisters in his heart, Paula and Kathy Hulvey.
