Beatrice Kathleen “Bea” Bartle-Kasparek

Beatrice Kathleen “Bea” Bartle-Kasparek died on Oct. 18, 2020 in Littleton, Colo.

Bea was born in Casper, Wyo. to Frederick “Fred” Bartle Jr. and Ruth Benny (Duteau) Bartle on March 12, 1938. She grew up in Denver and attended Holy Family High School and then Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo.

She married Robert “Bob” Kasparek in 1959, and had three children: Debbie, Greg and Kevin. With Bob being in the National Park Service, the family moved to several states and national parks in North Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, Maryland and Colorado. Bea and Bob divorced in 1978.

Bea married Raymond Roberts in 1985, and Bea fulfilled her dream of living in the mountains of Colorado and was surrounded by her beloved llamas. Ray died in 1996.

Bea studied forestry at CSU and later earned her masters degree in education at the University of Maryland. Some may remember Bea from her time teaching in Park County schools.

Bea was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Ruth Bartle. She is survived by her children: Debbie (Chris) Kelly of Loveland, Colo.; Greg (Pamela) Kasparek of Fairplay, Colo.; and Kevin Kasparek of Littleton, Colo.; by her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be a private memorial service.
