Charles “Chuck” E. Bruckman

Charles “Chuck” E. Bruckman, a longtime resident of Bailey, Colo., passed away Aug. 19, 2021 at the age of 82.

Charles was born in Denver, Colo. on Dec. 20, 1938 to George and Claire Bruckman. He was the older of 2 boys, the younger one Dalton Bruckman preceding him in death.

Chuck never knew a stranger. He stopped to chat with them along his path, and was often compelled to veer off and chat with everyone and tell them a joke that he just heard. He asked if you had seen his “Pride and Joy?” As he pulled out his wallet and began undoing mound of rubber bands that held this “Pride and Joy” securely inside of this overstuffed wallet, he would produce one photo card from this wallet and show a photo of the same Pride polish and Joy detergent bottles.

Chuck leaves behind his true pride and joy his children. Stacey (Dan) Wisherd, Steven Bruckman, Stuart Bruckman, Robyn Maestas, Shannon (Bert) Martin. He had 13 grandchildren and 5 “Grape” ( great) grandchildren.

Charles will be laid to rest on Sept. 9, 2021, next to his wife, Sandra B. Bruckman, who passed before him. Services begin at 10 a.m. at Crown Hill Chapel, 29th and Wadsworth. Interment will be at Horn Cemetery in Bailey, Colo., U.S. Highway 285 with USMC Honor Guard at 1:30 p.m.
