Donald Lee Jerome

Donald Lee Jerome was born April 14, 1930, in Idaho Springs Colo., and passed away Dec 14, 2021 in Westminster, Colo.

 His parents were George Elmer Jerome and Maria Agnus Lowney Jerome.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Alma Jean DeCola Jerome, their three children, Barbara Ann, Donald McCoy and Jerald Anthony, Kathleen Joan, preceded in death.

He was also survived by son-in-law Lawrence Behl, daughter-in-law, Deborah Jerome and son in law John Corliss. He was also survived by grandchildren Jerome “Luke” Charles Corliss and John “Ely “Anthony Corliss, as well as great. granddaughters Luna May Corliss and Stella Kathleen Corliss.

 Don’s living sisters include Patricia Guzman, Sacramento Calif., and Rosemary Chavez, Arvada Colo.

Don was preceded in death by his brothers, Ted Jerome, Russell Jerome and George Jerome, and brothers-in-laws  MC DeCola and Manuel Chavez

Don was also survived by in laws Rosemary “Penny” Bell, Norma Jerome and numerous nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.

 Don attended Golden High School, served in the National Guard and also worked as a truck driver for Montgomery Wards.

 Don was a member of the Teamsters Local 452 Union, and was Executive Officer for years.

Don retired in 1990 and enjoyed his family and the Mountains.

Don played on and managed numerous softball teams and participated in. senior softball tournaments both nationally and internationally.

Don was a gifted athlete, an avid hunter, a fisherman and an avid Broncos and Rockies fan.

 Don will be remembered in the hearts of many.

Memorial Service 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 24, 2022 at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 North Grant Street, Thornton, Colo. 80229.
