The Fire Wise Committee of the Burland Home Owners Association has created Zoom presentations for all of Burland and the adjacent neighborhoods that will give you the information you and your family need to prepare yourselves and your home and provide your specific escape routes and shelter areas should we have a wildfire.

Each addressee will soon be receiving a letter that will tell you exactly when your Zoom meetings are scheduled for your district or neighborhood and how to attend. The letter will have the information about which district or neighborhood you are in and a map of your escape route should there be a wildfire, preparations to make, what to take and much more.

The presentation has been prepared with the assistance of the Platte Canyon Fire Protection District, Fire Adapted Bailey and the U.S. Forest Service to coordinate and implement the Community Wildfire Protection Plan. The program will last one to one-and-a-half hours.

Zoom meeting schedules:

Burland Districts 1 and 3, Double S and Double C Acres: Tuesday, April 13, 7 p.m. or Sunday, April 18, l p.m.

Burland Districts 2 and 4 and Burland Meadows: Thursday, April 15, 7 p.m., or Sunday, April 18, 3 p.m.

Burland Districts 5 and 6, Bailey Mountain and Trails West: Tuesday, April 20, 7 p.m. or Sunday, April 25, 1 p.m.

Burland Districts 7 and 8, Park 80 West (Holmes Gulch) and Roland Valley: Thursday, April 22, 7 p.m. or Sunday, April 25, 3 p.m.

Wildfires are a fact. Being prepared may save your life and the lives of your family members.

Make sure you have the information you will need to survive.
