Platte River Outfitters

Autumn is here, and businesses are gearing up to get locals and visitors alike ready for the season. Platte River Outfitters 11th Annual Carhartt Sale will run Sept.18-Oct. 3, coinciding with the 285 Gold Rush Days.
Owner Kris, seen here showing off one of the featured items for this year’s Carhartt Sale, says “A lot of people come up for this event. It’s a big draw.”
Highway signs will attract people to the big white tent in the parking lot, where deals, both outside and inside, can be found in abundance. This event also draws attention to other local businesses, as one might want to drop in next door to Native Vibrations for clothing or gifts, or enjoy lunch at Rustic Station. Perhaps they may decide to go across the highway to have an ice cream cone, find treasures at one of our many shops or simply enjoy the beauty of the Platte Canyon. (Photo by Joyce Shedd/The Flume)
