South Park Athlete of the Week Alyssa Davis

As a sophomore, Alyssa Davis earned a position on the South Park High School Varsity volleyball squad this year. Davis placed a lot of emphasis on her off-season workout this past summer that included open gym time, home workouts and attending the Adams State University Individual Skills Camp. Davis is very coachable and has taken on a huge responsibility as a sophomore. Her ability to think quickly, generate proper footwork and continually improve her point of contact for her sets has given our team early success with an exciting home game win over Platte Canyon. Davis’ early leadership in this role has provided our team with consistent sets that will continue to produce solid offensive success for our hitters. For Davis, there is no such thing as a bad pass, and she will strive to make the best possible set to the hitters.
