Lights, camera, action: Buckskin Joe Cemetery Walk Film is online.

Hosting an in-person event with 400+ people was not an option this year. Instead the Moonwalk event was filmed so it could be shared far and wide. Volunteers gathered to perform their historic characters at a safe distance early this fall, creating an awesome film that brings the cultural history of the late 1800s in Alma to life.

Mosquito Range Heritage Initiative’s Buckskin Joe Cemetery Moonwalk is available on the MRHI website. It’s free to view, but a donation to continue our conservation and education efforts is welcome. A donation of $25 or more by Oct. 31 will receive a special book about the cemetery, “All That Lies Beneath, Selected Historic Burials in the Alma/Buckskin Cemetery, Park County, Colorado,” written by Christie Wright.
