Our representative Congressman, Joe Neguse has voted to impeach our President for charges that do not meet the standards as set out in the U.S. Constitution. He has a safe district, and Eastern Park County is just a footnote in his representation.

Congressman Lamborn represents most of Park County and voted “no.” Now, the Articles of Impeachment may or may not head to the Senate. The reason: Speaker Pelosi does not feel that Speaker McConnell will be impartial.

There is a current field of six Democrat Senators running against the presumed Republican frontrunner, President Trump. Those candidates have all stated publically that they favor impeachment and in no uncertain terms. They are not impartial and definitely have an interest in the outcome.

Out of a sense of good judgement and honor, those Senators should recuse themselves should the Articles of Impeachment actually be presented. We must contact our representative, Sen. Bennet and ask him to recuse himself as, no doubt, he would want to make a Senate trial as fair as possible. Email to www.bennet.senate.gov. He needs to hear from us.
