I would like to thank the owners of Guffey’s Corona’s at Freshwater restaurant, for going over and above to accommodate us.

After calling every eatery in Guffey, I was dismayed to discover none are open for lunch on Tuesdays at this time of the year. I spoke to Jody on the phone and mentioned I was having no luck.

We wanted to have a lunch meeting regarding the presentation of the Shield 616 body armor package with the Hartsel Days 2018 recipient, Sam Johnson.

He is a Park County Sheriff’s Deputy. Jody didn’t hesitate to offer to open the restaurant for us, even though they normally open at 4:00 p.m.

I took her up on it and we had a good meeting as well as great food. She and her husband were most gracious and made us feel welcome. That’s what I love about our communities, you feel welcomed and appreciated. Thank you so much for making this happen.
