William F. “Bill” Jennings Jr.

William F. “Bill” Jennings Jr. passed away at the Denver Hospice on March 25, 2020. Bill Jennings was a long-time Fairplay resident.

Bill Jennings was born to William F. Jennings Sr. and Margaret Jennings in Christiansburg, Va., in 1934. Jennings served in the United States Army Signal Corps, raced cars, and worked for the Geotech Corporation before going into business for himself.

Jennings owned and operated Sight & Sound Satellite on Front Street in Fairplay for many years. In addition, Jennings was a well-known volunteer at the Fairplay Branch of the Park County Library.

Before moving to Fairplay, Jennings operated Sight and Sound Television in Kittredge for many years.

Jennings is survived by his wife Elizabeth J. Jennings, and sons Matthew T. and Daniel G. Jennings of Fairplay. Jennings is also survived by his sister Chris McKenzie of Georgetown, Texas.

Services for William F. Jennings will be held after the Coronavirus crisis ends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
