James Alfred Robson was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Iona Mildred and George Alfred Robson.

Jim passed away at the Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care Unit in Colorado Springs. Colo., after a long illness of COPD, MS, diabetes and other complications.

Jim attended Lake George, Colo., his elementary years, and high school years at Woodland Park, Colo., graduating in 1965. He was drafted into the U.S. Army Aug. 30, 1966, honorably discharged Aug. 29, 1972, after serving time in Vietnam where he was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife Susan, mother Mildred, father George, and stepfather Jack Smith.

His living relatives are Myrna Robson Daly (Bruce), Heidi Robson Shiplet (Chip), Webb C. Smith (Jill), two nieces, two nephews, a great niece, a great nephew, a great-great niece, mother-in-law Dorothy Sanders and numerous other family members.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at the Club House, 2840 South Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colo., from 1 until 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions be made to the MS Foundation or the COPD Foundation of your choice.
