Dennis K. Sipes, 72, of Bailey, Colo., died Friday, April 6, 2018, at Power Back of Lakewood in Lakewood, Colo. after a prolonged illness.
He was born in Dec. 30, 1945 in Topeka, Kan., and is the son of the late Leonard and Dorothy Sipes.
Dennis was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio, after 30 years of employment. Aside from his career, Dennis was a member of the AMCA, NRA of America, American Legion and the Humane Society.
He was a man of many artistic talents. These talents went to create many mementos for friends and family members alike. He was also an avid wood carver.
When he was not creating, he enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle, hiking and camping all over the United States. While traveling, he was sure to capture those moments on his camera. He also enjoyed time with Tom Pussycat, his beloved orange companion.
He is survived by two great aunts, Ruby Dawson of Lima, Ohio, and Dorcas Sounders of Mercersburg, Penn. In addition to his aunts are several cousins.
A memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family.
