Broad use envisioned for Bailey trails

Other uses besides mountain biking seen for recommended trails

Posted: Friday, October 12, 2012 2:32 pm

The miles of new trails that are recommended to make Bailey a mountain biking hub would not be used for mountain biking alone, but would also be used for hiking, horseback riding, running and possibly other purposes, said Shane Kinkennon in a presentation to the Platte Canyon Area Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 9.

Kinkennon, head of Bailey Trails, which is promoting the idea, said, “the plan calls for trails that would be optimized for mountain biking” but would be available for other uses and be “something that increases the quality of life for people who live here and work here.”
