An owner of property in southeastern Park County is being charged with intentionally feeding bears after eight bears were reported going into her property searching for food.

Susan Rechtwig-Hoel, whose address is listed as Florissant for property off of Echo Lake Drive in Park County, was issued a summons on Aug. 15 to appear in a Park County courtroom to answer to charges that she left out hamburger buns, dog food, meat and garbage to attract bears. She appeared in court on Sept. 13.
