Pine Junction’s Panda Garden staying, but with new name, food, atmosphere

New name, menu to be launched at grand opening on Feb. 9

Posted: Friday, February 10, 2012 2:47 pm

Heather and Sam Long, the co-owners of the Pine-based Panda Garden/Long Liquor Store, have decided not to sell the business and building they have had for a dozen years, and instead they will be introducing a new name, menu and atmosphere with a grand opening Thursday, Feb. 9.

The new name of the restaurant, as of Feb. 9, will be Derrick Thai, which is reflective of a shift in the menu to mainly Thai food, complemented by Chinese and Vietnamese dishes.
