Communities, residents, and businesses around the county are stepping up to help their neighbors in a variety of ways during the coronavirus emergency.

Volunteers from the Hartsel Community Center organization will be distributing food to those in need Saturday, March 28, from noon until 2 p.m.

Canned and boxed food items are being collected from the donation bins in the Highline Cafe and Saloon and the South Park Mercantile store in Hartsel.

Individuals and families who are in need of food will be able to receive food via curbside delivery.
