Alison Hagan, originally from the East Coast, has lived in Colorado since 1966 and in Fairplay since 1988. After retiring, she and her husband, Paul, whom she married in 1984, worked for a number of years as ski instructors at Breckenridge. Hagan has taught
handicapped skiing and co-founded a program called Babes on Bumps, aimed at teaching older skiers how to handle terrain. Since retiring from ski instruction after the 2009 season, she and her husband continue to ski in the winter and, during the spring and fall mud seasons, travel south in their pop-up camper called the “Turtle House.” She is 75.
