Platte Canyon High School speech team competed in the Snow Peaks Invitational in Frisco.

In poetry interpretation, Brenna Curry was second.

In humor interpretation, Jackson Seidler was fourth.

In creative storytelling, Seidler was seventh, Heidi Sussenbach eighth and Danielle Whitmer was 12th.

Sussenbach was first, and it was the Best of Event in program oral interpretation.

“This was tough competition,” assistant coach Karen Curry said. “It was a tournament, not a festival meet. So competition was against larger schools.”

The Huskies will be at Cherry Creek for a tournament Saturday, Dec. 8.
