What are you doing for dinner and patriotic celebration on the evening of the Fourth of July?

Come on out to the pavilion behind the library and community center in Hartsel and celebrate this nation’s independence with patriotic music, friendly conversation with your neighbors and free hot dogs.

Treasurer of the Hartsel Community Center, Terrie Shafer, said, “Beginning at 6 p.m., there will be free food, including hot dogs and chips, followed by ice cream and toppings of cherries, gummy worms, chocolate chips.”

Child-friendly drinks such as lemonade will also be served.

The Hartsel Community Library will have a book and bake sale.

After hot dogs, the family movie “Sandlot” will be shown. The movie is about a group of young baseball players in 1962.

The Hartsel Community Center, Hartsel Community Library, and Country Church of Hartsel are joining together to sponsor this event for visitors and residents. All are welcome.
