Platte Canyon Fire’s Jeff Davis dies

Jeff Davis, the former Platte Canyon Fire Protection District chief, died Wednesday night at home nearly two years after having a brain tumor removed.

Flags in the Bailey area are at half-staff Thursday morning in remembrance of the first paid Platte Canyon fire chief, who retired on March 9, ending his 20-year career, 12 of them as chief, with the Platte Canyon Fire Protection District.
