Fairplay will be hopping all summer with social happenings and top-notch musical entertainment, thanks to the TGIFairplay Free Concert Series.

TGIFairplay is sponsored and presented by the Town of Fairplay, Prather’s Market and Phoenix Restoration Services of the Rockies. These community events promise great music, a variety of mouth-watering cuisines and plenty beverage options courtesy of local beer from South Park Brewing and wine from the Continental Divide Winery.

The fun begins June 28 with the Summer Kickoff Celebration, featuring a free performance by the band Split Window from 6-9 p.m. at 4th and Front Streets. Concert-goers will be encouraged to wear their favorite tropic garb while they indulge in a pig roast and beach party.

Split Window is an eight-piece band from South Park known for pumping out upbeat dance tunes ranging in genres from reggae, blues, pop, classic rock and more.  July 26 offers yet another opportunity to get out and boogie for the Burro Days Kickoff, where the Nacho Men from Denver will hit the stage from 6-9 p.m. on 5th Street.

The Town of Fairplay’s non-profit partner for this event is the Friends of the Fairplay Community. Food will be provided by Burro Days food vendors.

The Nacho Men have used their special blend of dance music, costume changes, choreography and side-splitting humor to keep all generations of fans coming back for their high-energy interactive rock and roll show. The Nacho Men can do it all - street corner a capella, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s music, swing and disco.

The Hazel Miller Band will perform Aug. 23 on Front Street from 6-9 p.m., as the Town of Fairplay again partners with Friends of the Fairplay Community. Food trucks will provide something for everyone in the way of food for this event. Peaches and ice cream will be served, compliments of the Fairplay Town Board of Trustees, while supplies last.

The Hazel Miller Band was formed more than two decades ago. The present members are a tight-knit family of great musicians and singers. HMB performs an eclectic blend of jazz, R&B, blues, soul-R&B and original music. Hazel Miller Band’s music is designed to make the audience dance and sing along.

The Fourth of July will be typically festive in downtown Fairplay as well. Food trucks and entertainment provided by Twenty Hands High will anchor a huge day of fun and entertainment for visitors of all ages.

Twenty Hands High is a Denver based country and southern rock band, performing modern and classic country, as well as your favorite southern rock and Texas/Oklahoma red dirt tunes. Twenty Hands High lays down a dynamic mix of songs sure to get you onto the dance floor.

The Town of Fairplay will team up with a number of nonprofit entities to offer the classic fun family activities and games that traditionally make this a can’t-miss Independence Day celebration.
