Notices of value sent to 1,300 Park County property owners

Owners have until June 1 to file appeal with valuation

Posted: Friday, May 4, 2012 3:23 pm

Fewer than 1,300 notices of property value changes were mailed out to Park County property owners on May 1 as part of the county’s valuation process.

The Park County Assessor’s Office assesses the value of every property in Park County every odd-numbered year. In the even-numbered years, the assessor’s office only puts a value on properties that have made some change, such as an addition to a building, or a subtraction, such as a building being damaged.
