2020 is a special year, so Staunton State Park’s annual Marmot Fest has changed to a visual/virtual meandering hike. Come enjoy a beautiful hike along Staunton Ranch from the Meadows Parking Lot. Learn fun and fanciful facts about our little furry friends: the marmots.

Social distancing and no-touch displays will give all visitors a safe and fun day.Watch marmot videos and dancing marmots, then head on down the trail to enjoy the Dog versus Marmot escapade and a fun scavenger hunt.

We will have a special bag of goodies for the kids, including their very own marmot mask. Also fishing with all equipment supplied will be offered at Davis Ponds. Then join us at the amphitheater at 8:45 p.m. for a night sky  with moon program, binoculars supplied.

Don’t forget to adopt a marmot plush toy at the visitor center.
